Lisa Rubin MD MPH is a with Israel board certification in Pediatrics and Public Health. After serving as the Deputy District Health Physician in Haifa, she headed the Department of Maternal and Child Health of the Public Health Services in the Ministry of Health between 2007- 2019. There she was responsible for medical policy for Israel’s Well Child system, Tipat Chalav. Prominent among her activities in this capacity were designing, implementing and evaluating the national neonatal hearing screening program, initiating an early childhood vision screening program and establishing the first national breast milk bank. She worked together with the Ministries of Education and Welfare to promote the adequate provision of assistance for children with medical needs in schools and daycare. She has served on numerous national advisory boards concerning the health and welfare of infants and children, including 360° the National Program for the Prevention and Treatment of Children at Risk and is a member of the National Council of the Young Child. She continues to teach in the School of Public Health at the University of Haifa where she is an associate professor.
