It is our pleasure to invite you to the University of Haifa MPH Program.
The School of Public Health at the University of Haifa was established in 2002 to educate the next generation of public health leaders and to address the health of Israel’s citizens and populations worldwide through learning, discovery and communication. The school has awarded over 800 degrees in public health, health administration and applied nutrition, both at the masters and doctoral level. From its inception, the School of Public Health has adopted an interdisciplinary approach and has drawn upon an interweaving of different medical and social sciences to better understand medical care, health-related behaviors and the prevention of disease.
The School of Public Health has developed a year-long, three-semester Master of Public Health degree specialized in Health Systems Administraion and Global Health Leadership as an expansion of its successful international summer program. The American-based MPH curriculum is taught by expert local and international faculty and is open to students worldwide. The program will provide students with a strong foundation from which to critically address current global health challenges, instilling in them the skills to effectively operate in a global health environment.
With its highly comprehensive, sophisticated educational institutions, and diverse population, Israel provides an ideal setting for international students to study health systems, leadership, and health administration. As one of Israel’s leading research universities, the University of Haifa is suitable for students who wish to develop both excellent research skills and practical tools in public health, as well as acquire leadership capabilities. Indeed, the new MPH program represents a fine educational investment in the future: developing leaders in the U.S., Israel, and internationally to address the ever more complex public health challenges in a globalizing world.
As students in the MPH program, you will be able to integrate this training with your prior academic and professional experience. Whether you have a background in medicine, international affairs, biology, nursing, social science, or another field, we welcome you as potential MPH candidates in our program. All of our students will graduate with the breadth and depth of knowledge that are essential to a successful and meaningful career in public health. We invite you to learn more about what the MPH program has to offer.
