Grading should serve both faculty and students as a way to differentiate among students and specifically at the graduate level to identify those who have invested more in the program and produced excellent work, to get credit for their demonstrated skills.
The I-MPH needs to recognize both University of Haifa grading standards as well as those from CEPH accredited programs in the US. In this program, in a required course a final course grade of 60 - 69 will require that the course be repeated or remedial work done to receive credit from the program.
Grading for graduate programs recognizes advanced education of students. All admitted students are expected to pass each course and complete the I-MPH. Exceptional students should be recognized for their performance with grades that acknowledge their success.
In the I-MPH, grading is done on a scale of 0 – 100 with 100 being the highest score. We characterize the scores in the following manner:
97 - 100 Exceptional
93 - 96 Outstanding
90 - 92 Excellent
87 - 89 Very Good
80 - 86 Good
70 - 79 Satisfactory
60 - 69 Unsatisfactory. Course must be repeated or remedial work done to receive credit
< 60 Fail. Course must be repeated
