All I-MPH students are required to complete the Capstone as part of their MPH curriculum. The Capstone is a culminating experience that focuses on integrating public health concepts, course content, and knowledge gained throughout the three-semester degree program. This three-credit experience allows for a variety of options, but most often is completed in the form of a project, policy analysis, or professional report in which students ask a question about a global health or global health leadership problem or issue and seek an answer. In the process, students will demonstrate the use of at least 4 program-based competencies that show the synthesis of skills and knowledge that are consistent with a fully prepared MPH candidate. Sample student projects can be found on the program website.
